Our 4 mandates for coalition membership for orphan support organizations
In order for an orphan nonprofit organization or children’s center to join the Orphan Coalition they must pass our rigorous evaluation process and meet all 4 mandates for coalition membership which are:
Access
100% ongoing access to the orphans supported. Communication with the orphans as they grow and develop. As much as possible, we encourage our donors to correspond and develop a relationship with their sponsored children’s centers.
Allocation
100% of funds received by orphancoalition.org go directly to the orphans. Overhead costs must be raised ELSEWHERE. There is no higher allocation of funds reaching orphans than 100%. Every dime donated to orphancoalition.org gets to the orphans. Salaries, overhead and all other operating costs are covered by other sources.
Authenticity
100% of the organizations we support are authentic, reputable and effective nonprofits in the support and care of orphans. The orphanage and children’s center must undergo a strict assessment period and meet all of our initial requirements and mandates before they can become part of our “Orphan Coalition."
Accountability
100% transparency in accountability of funds. The nonprofit organizations we support must provide rigid financial accountability guidelines. There are Child Care Facilitators in-country, making surprise visits and inspections to ensure that the children are being cared for in our prescribed manner. In addition, all goods and services purchased must be proven each and every month and are also subject to physical inspection at any time.
