The orphans in this facility have been diagnosed with mental problems. Many of them suffer from epilepsy.When we started here the children were malnourished and under clothed to survive the harsh winters in Russia.This 2 story orphanage has existed since World War II and shows its age. It is just like all of the others, in need of a lot of repair. The roof leaks, the toilets and sink are old, broken and need repair or replaced. Windows are cracked, paint is pealing off of the walls and ceiling. We have done some repairs,but much more is needed for repair and renovation of the old building. They are always in need of food, medical supplies and equipment, beds, bedding, washing detergent and the list goes on.
