Most of the children came to this home in serious need of medical attention and were thin because of the lack of proper nutrition. Malaria and worms are some of the most common medical problems these children have to deal with. Many of these children have lost their parents to AIDS or because of murder by the rebels, others were abandoned when their families could not afford to feed them. The children are happy to have a place to call home where they can feel safe and be cared for.
